Looking to start building up a flash lighting kit for portrait photography, and many people have told me to start with one light and work with that first until comfortable to add more. With that being said, what do people think of this piece of kit - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270412452711

Any information, or alternative equipment suggestions, would be most helpful. Ta.

There are a lot of threads with info on lighting. If you use the search feature (which is just below the "Powered bt SmugMug" logo above), you can find them. Various manufacturers have been used by folks here. Paul C. Buff (White Lightning, Alien Bees) and others.

Have a look around. I think you'll find a lot of great info.
