IMPORTANT: SmugMug statistics are getting a much needed overhaul with some exciting new features. As a result, statistics aren't up-to-the-second currently while we finish our work. We're still tracking all your hits, it just may take a little longer for them to show up here in your graphs. Your stats may be out-of-date for up to 24 hours but are otherwise working fine and are current.
Just curious in when is it actually going to be updated? :scratch
I've been seeing that message for months now.
I DO see that the thumbnail views are gone, thank you for that!

Any preview?
I know I'd love to be able to view stats for just specific categories, or better subcategories.

Is there a way I can view how many individual users visit my smugmug site ? (Similar to what is normally called a website hit counter?)
Statcounter and Google Analytics, both free, both easy to install if you are a power or pro account: http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/1092794

Thank you, Andy. I followed the instructions at the link you referenced to sign up with Google Analytics and add the supplied code in the "Custom Footer" section of the "Advanced Site-wide Customization page".
At first, I didn't think it worked but the next day I received an e-mail from Google Analytics and when I checked the status of my tracking code it showed a green checkmark and I was able to pull reports for July 1 that showed:
- How many unique users accessed my smug mug site
- Which browsers and browser versions they were using
- Which O/S they were using
- Their screen resolution
- Whether they accessed the site directly or did a google or
AOL search to find it
- Whether any visitors were sent via referring sites
- Even what city the user was from
Very cool ! This actually helps me know which OS and browser versions I need to test/verify when I add enhancements since I've found that everything may not look the same on all browsers. I'll also be interested to keep an eye on the site activity since the reports allow you to watch trends over time.
Thank you for your help.
