I have been struggling a bit with this theme, but I think my creative juices are starting to flow.

#1 Where's the fire?

From all of the above, I like #5 Concentric 2 better.

However, I would compress it down a little to make those rhombus look more square

I vote for #2. It's very simple and complex at the same time. I'm looking at it via a poor quality monitor, so I can't really comment on the tones in the image, but it seems to be the strongest and most intriguing of the bunch.

I concur -- my vote is definitely for #2 -- sharp, well composed, and quite interesting to look at.

#2 jumps out at me the most, you could definitely do something great with that. After that, I like #4, it has the beginnings of an interesting 'jungle/lost world' thing going on yhat you could work with.

    I vote # 2 or #4...

on #2 you may try to clean up the shadows and give that silver some punch.

#4 was a very creative shot, and I just love that depth you gave it.. It would depend on how you processed that one...

    #2 is definitely a strong contender :D

#2 and I would mess with the contrast a bit, see how it looks with a little more in the highlights

I too like No. 2 best. If you could re-shoot it to do something about the shadows in the upper and lower left, I kind of like the shadow in the lower right inside circle, helps hide the ground(?)..and maybe give the metal a bit more texture....

On the other hand I also like Numbers 4 or 5.
I like number 4 because the lighting is more even, but all the vines pull the eye away from the depth of the receding squares, a few vines could add interest but with so many the theme gets cluttered as you move back into the scene, number five is more open and pleasing as it draws the eye inward thru the squares but the stark shadow line down the middle bothers me..

nice catches none the less and some great ideas.thumb.gif
