So I decided to try and increase traffic through my main website. I read a lot of things that suggested creating a blog, and so I did. The main blog site is www.naturesportal.blogspot.com . And connects with my main site being www.naturesportal.net. What do you all think?

It looks like you have a good start - you created a blog, your blog has some entries in it, and your photos link directly to your smugmug site.

I'd recommend making a start at matching to overall look of your smugmug site and your blog. I find the jump between the two sites to be a bit jarring. You're not using a navbar on your smugmug site, but you do have a banner and an overall look that isn't matched on your blog. You might want to look at the thread HOW TO match your blog to your smug site (blogger-specific), which is about matching the two sites. Given that you're using a complex theme on your smugmug site - it might be enough to change your blog background to plain black and to add your banner to your blog. I'd also recommend changing your blog to a stretchy format. (At the end of the first very long post in the "how to" threead I linked above, there are links to some specific info later in the thread, including how to switch a non-stretchy blog to stretchy).

Thank you Denise for your suggestions!clap.gif I have put my banner and changed the text format in as my main website. Now, as far as the stretchy blog change, I found the link on that but did not quite understand how to do that. I think I found the entries in my blog html to change but you said you changed pixels to %, is that right. So, I would just change the pixel entry to the % I want? Thanks for your assistance!

Yes, you just change from px to %. But it looks like the blogger template you are using is very different from the simpler one that I am using. I'm sure we can figure out which elements to change, but before going through that exercise, are you going to stick with the template you are using right now? The reason I ask is that the background doesn't come close to matching your smugmug site. I think you'd have a much better site-to-site look if you change your blog to a plain black background. That won't totally match your smug site, but the banner area and upper background would match.

If you want to switch, I'd suggest selecting the Minima black template, and then I can help you get it to stretch. Or you can select Minima Stretch and then change the background color. If you want to switch your blogger template, go to the layout tab in your blog and click on Pick new template.

If you want to keep your current template, let me know and I'll attempt to figure out how to get it to stretch.

Thanks Denise, I changed to Minima Stretch and went to black. I see what you mean and I like the results. Thanks again!:D
