Pano or crop? It looks a little noisy.

I really like this - the clouds help to show scale for the mountains, and the light on the snow is nicely captured.

I agree it does seem a little noisy - so also wonder if this is a significant crop?

Love those low-lying clouds. Nice! :D
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

The crop was not that significant but on the PS conversion I turned down the red/green channels then in LR upped the blue channel to get the coldtone effect. That blew out the sky and introduced some artifact noise.
I was thinking about adding some film grain to mask the noise but that attempt failed.
Although I have all the toys I'm no where near the Burt Monroy level.....more like Bert and Ernie.

A touch noisy but with that scene - who cares? Wow eek7.gif

That cloud is like a scarf, and I think that the near-monochrome really adds to the cold, wintery mood. What would this look like in full black/white? Then the noise could be an asset. thumb.gif
