Pinnacles non-photo shoot

I had the day off so me, myself, and I went to the Pinnacles. I chose a path I have never been on, and it was great. Last post I said I wouldn't hike from the East entrance to the West entrance, well I lied. I headed out to the Balconies Caves but forgot my flashlight. I met a park ranger on the trail who said he would lend me a headlamp, but I had to give it to him at the Chaparral Ranger Station (West entrance). I really did want to go through the caves so I agreed.
The caves were surprisingly tight. I almost got lost twice. Good thing I packed up the camera and tripod on the backpack, I needed both hands for climbing. It was more like spelunking than a path. I couldn’t get any photos in the actual caves (too dark) only in areas where light came in through a hole in the rocks. The following photos will give you an idea of what this hike looked like.
You missed a good one!

The path was not always well defined.
