Very nicely done - I see plenty of his date.:-) But, if your intent was to show us that this is a parade, in the street, you either needed to pull back, or give us another shot; if I hadn't read your description, I'd think these people were in a school gym, or some similar indoor space.
But again, I like this image...though I'd prefer it in black and white...:D
