image embed

Just wondering what may be potential problems for an image not embedding properly in external source? I regularly send out html-formatted emails to a mailing list using a list manager and embedding my logo as a header has always worked fine, but now the image will not appear, though I have not changed the link or gallery. It works fine when I type it into the url of my browser. External links are on. I know the obvious answer is to check with the list service, but from time to time other images that I have embedded in various pages don't show and then magically appear sometime (in safari I get the blue box with question mark in the middle). Any ideas?
The logo I'm specifically having problems with this time is:

Thanks

The gallery is set for ext links, originals viewable - all should be fine. What's your embed code?

Code is the usual <img src="...."></img> I've used the same one for multiple emails in the past and it has worked fine. I tried substituting another image from the same gallery, and a different gallery and both of them worked fine. I tried using a different banner image from my files and it didn't work when I embedded it as ...L.jpg but DID work when I used ...O.jpg
    I don't get the inconsistency.

If you want us to help troubleshoot this particular instance, then you will need to provide us a link to the page with the embedded image in it and a description of what isn't working. You're asking us to work on theory here rather than look at that actual instance that isn't working and all that generates is guesses rather than actual troubleshooting.

I was not referring to a particular page in this instance. As I mentioned above, I was working on a weekly email using a list manager program online that allows me to format with html and embed images. This week my image was not appearing even though the code has not changed from prior weeks. Because the email is designed within a site when I am logged in, there is no way I can provide a link. That is why I was asking about possibilities for an image not embedding properly. Sorry for the troubles.

I forgot you were talking about an email. There are zillions of things that can go wrong in email (many different ways to prepare the email and do the embedding and many different things that can happen in the email viewer). Without seeing more specifics about the particular email and viewing application, it seems like Andy has checked the obvious settings on the Smugmug side of things.

That's what I figured, I just wanted to make sure there was nothing obvious I was missing. Thanks.
