That's an outstanding portrait. I'm glad you did it in B&W, really makes him stand out. He's lived a life and it shows on his face, but he doesn't look bitter or tired. He looks proud and wears his age well. His whole expression works for me.

Love the sharpness, and b/w looks awesome!
If you don't mind a little critique - I would PS-ed the stray hair, it creates a distraction, but that's probably just me!
Also - your signature would look better in the corner.
