How to set gallery thumbnail?

I noticed for some Smugmug sites, they've set the gallery thumbnail to a static image whereas mine is always a random image from the gallery. How do I set a static thumbnail?

    Go to the photo in the gallery you which to feature.
    Under "tools" > more > pick feature
    That photo will now show as the gallery thumb. On a category page the
    category thumb will use the thumb of the first gallery in the list.
