    Did you bracket 5?? Or shoot separately?
    The range and detail looks good!

    Thanks for the compliments Linda! It's been pretty much all insects and spiders this year except a trip to New Mexico to photograph the prairie chicken leks.
    I don't know what you mean by bracket or shoot separately unless the 40D has a bracket-focus feature I am unaware of. The way I did it was to focus manually step-wise through the subject taking a shot at each focus point and with the MP-E that means moving in towards the subject. To me it looks as if I am missing one slice in the stack. I would have to go back and look at each image to find out. If that's so we're dealing with extremely shallow dof slices.
