Nice catch on a cool pose, Adam.thumb.gif

Where was this at. I'm going out to the Mississippi next week...maybe start at Clinton and work north from there. I've got the whole week so maybe I'll go as far as Trempealeau NWR. Just hoping for some decent weather.

Nice Adam. Like the nicely exposed white against that deep blue water. thumb.gif

    Nicely done.

Love the detail of the underside of the bird's left wing. It is perfectly exposed (no pun intended).

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. This was taken in the late afternoon so the lighting on the water along with the angle give it the unusual blue water.

    Ric,
This was taken in Monticello, MN. Only a few of the swans are still here from the winter.

If you're interested in getting some really great Trumpeter Swan shots you should consider coming up here in the winter. There's over 400+ swans on the river during December and January. Davev and I love to be your guide.:D
