Getting Started in Weddings

Hi Everyone -
So I've been working with weddings & events for years as a DJ, Videographer, and designer... Finally I got to the financial point where I could invest in my photographic passion and I'm building a decent collection of professional gear. Now the big question - how do I get started with wedding photography?
As professional photographers in the wedding biz, how do you choose a second shooter? What are some typical arrangements you would make with that person from a business standpoint? Do you allow the second shooter to use images from your events in their portfolio? And how do I, as an aspiring professional, find the pro that is willing to take someone under their wing?
Clearly, this is a relationship of trust: The photographer must trust me to represent him or her in a professional manner, trust my honesty and integrity, and trust that I will get the job done for them. Meanwhile, I must trust the photographer to treat me fairly as I gain knowledge from them.
Any input you can offer is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Ken
