Preset won't save thumbnail aspect ratio

Hi folks

I've set a preset for my galleries that I apply to all new galleries. Problem is I've set the thumbnail shape to proportional to the original image, not square, but for whatever reason, all new galleries apply square thumbnails.

I can go in a customize the album to fix it, but it's an extra step and defeats the purpose of the preset.

Any ideas?

    You have to select the preset (Quick Settings) when creating each new album. Sucks huh? Wish there was a default, right? I'll be filing an "official bug" as soon as Andy tells me whether I need to create yet another account over there. (Yah yah, I can tie it to my Facebook or Google login, but I don't want to if I don't have to.)

    'over there'? If you meant the feature requests forum on http://smugmug.uservoice.com you can use your OpenID Smuggy credentials :)

    Right. How is anybody supposed to know that? :-}

    Anyways, bug filed:

    Vote away!

    BTW, the OpenID stuff Andy is talking about is if you don't want to link Uservoice to your Google/Facebook account (or create yet another account somewhere), you can link it to your SmugMug account/password. Details here: http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?p=1196750#post1196750

    Darryl, there are like 9 ways to sign up, OpenID is one of them.

    Yes, but 1) your sticky invites people to file their Feature Requests on UserVoice.com, 2) in a previous post you mention people can use their Smuggy login credentials, 3) the UserVoice.com login page does not contain a SmugMug link for login, nor does the OpenID link make any mention of how one would use a SmugMug OpenID, 4) nowhere in SmugMug's docs (even on Don's blog) is there mention of how one would use a SmugMug credential to log into an OpenID site.

    Anyways, I know Facebook is taking over the Internets and that everybody is using their FB credentials to log onto every site. And not to jump on the "Facebook is Evil" bandwagon (I'm more of the "Facebook is Lame" bandwagon), but I think they have plenty of my personal info without needing to know all of the sites I may want to log onto.

    I'll continue this in [post=1196978]another thread[/post] that's not really about Facebook/OpenID. :-}
