Brother Yusef is a blues guitarist who performs regularly at Downtown Disney at Anaheim, CA.

Our photography group was there and these are some candids while he was outside playing at night.

    That's some fast glass. 200mm 2.8? Dare I say 1.8? .::Drools::.

    Great shots.

    No, I meant it's not a 200mm f1.8 or a f2.8.
    I'm into fast primes. 200mm f2.8 is too "slow" for a prime for me and the f1.8 is too expensive and way too big.

    The 135mm f2L without a hood is small and black, very inconspicuous, has great optics, and is better priced than the 200mm f1.8. More my style, although the 200mm f2.8 is a great lens too.

    Tee - more great shots from your Disney trip.

    I'm curious though - do you (or anyone) know why the bokeh'd lights near the top of the frame are football shaped? I noticed this in your "little girl & the fireworks" frame as well, which used the same lens.

    Not sure why the oblong shaped bokeh. I suspect it's the angle of the light source to the lens as only some are like that.

    This first one works particularly well - though I wonder if he's falling over backwards eek7.gif But the expression, lighting and composition are very nice. Second one it seems as though the point of focus is off a bit, and the third one just doesn't work for me, though I think I get what you were going for.

    Can't remember his name but another fine acoustic guitarist That was also performing there. I bought one of his CD's when he used to perform outside at the 3rd street Santa Monica.

    this one did it for me, but maby the impact would been less without looking
    at the other two shots first, it might be a bit confusing alone.
    anyway i love the focus in this busy shot.

    also, the second shot of the two latest bw's are really nice and moody.

    6. This is Carlos Lopez, a fellow member of LAShooters, playing the drums. He is also the drummer for ABC's Dancing with the Stars TV show.
