I have a D80 and recently bought a 17-55 f/2.8 lens. When shooting outside in the evenings, am using my SB600 speedlight but am finding I am slightly overexposing images on program or adjusting aperture modes. The speedlight is flashing the over/underexposure icon. This does not happen when I use my flash indoors...but I'm still wondering if it's my flash or it is not adapting to the lens. I don't have this problem with my 18-135 f/3.5 lens. Any help is really appreciated! Am I doing something wrong?

    Is it still daylight out?

It is possible that you need to enable high speed synch.
