I just bought the 5D MKII.....those landscapes better watch out!I'm going to try a less stressful type of photography for my old eyes and neck.
I'll be selling my 400 DO IS and start getting some use out of the 24-105 and the 70-200 2.8 IS that I hardly ever use.
Not giving up on wildlife though...I can get just about all I need to with the 100-400 and the 40D.
One of my goals for this summer was to get a balck oystercatcher. Doubt I'll make it. I've seen dozens of flybys but haven't made it a priority to figure out where the rascals hang out Same deal with terns. Plenty around but can't find a consistent fishing spot
Great work

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thanks Ric! The terns nest in California so we get a bunch of them, and alot of the time they are too pre-occupied with each other to care what we are doing.
I have been pining for a 5D MKII and 24-105 myself. I think you will have alot of fun with it!

We are going up to Door County which is Wisconsin's peninsula between Green Bay and Lake Michigan. Just need the 5D , lenses, and a Bears jersey!!!
Now that will be fun!

Thanks Dan! We get them every once in awhile, but they are usually not too close. They hang out on pebbly/rocky beaches. Good luck finding some this summer.
