How can I hide my galleries from Google?

Hi, I've got a bit of an interesting situation here.

I've set most of my galleries, if not all, to complete privacy. They can't be found through Google. Yet, for some reason, if you type in Emma Willoughby Photography into google, two of my galleries pop up WITHOUT my customization (they aren't formatted with the proper security settings, background, etc).

Why would this be happening and how can I fix it? :scratch

By the way, I did notice that the results on google pull from smugmug and use the gallery number. But once again, my galleries are hidden from smugmug.

Thanks
Emma

Give it some time for Google to Deindex them. They will fall off Google's radar.

How much time would you say? It seems as though google hasn't removed them yet.

Google's good at keeping secrets. They don't tell us. I'm sorry :(

Andy, sorry to keep pestering about this, but it's just frustrating.
I would really like my homepage to show up in google results, but it's just displaying these 2 galleries of mine, in an unedited state.

I've already gone to my account settings and selected the option to "google" my homepage only, but that's not working.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Emma

You might try moving all of the photos in those two galleries into new galleries, then deleting the old ones. That way even if the galleries continue to show up in Google search results for a bit, clicking the link will not go to the galleries.

If you do this you will need to give new links to the galleries to the individuals who are supposed to be able to access them - unless they are accessing them from within your site, in which case the individuals should still be able to find the moved galleries.
