After recovering from the sky shootout we went out for the sunset at our local beach. Earlier in the day there wasn't that much happening wave wise... so this was a surprise! Enjoy!

I like how the light shine through the crashing waves. thumb.gif
I'd like to see a wider shot of this scene for a bigger sense of awe.

Although I took about 50 photos, this was the most dramatic :-(

Ah, you are from California, right? Near the coast? It actually pretty much was this color, fog trying to settle in, sun coming down, white foggy area of the sky just turning a faint yellow....

I can photoshop in a nice sky for you
    :): :): :): :): :): :): :): :):

The getting ready to set sun's last rays were just highlighting the waves at an angle -- the waves were also coming in at an angle. I understand this one spot has a pretty bad rip tide, the surfers tend to stay away from it. Sometimes we watch the water slosh against the rocks and do a sudden dash to the south to meet the incoming waves with a bang!

Thank you for looking and commenting :):

    you understand :D:D:D

On the rare days when the sky is blue, of course there are no crashing waves! Or the sun won't highlight the tips of the waves, or there won't be any veils at all coming off the waves... I should move back east! rolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif
