Help!

Hey Everyone, I am completely stuck.
I went on a shoot for a friend and this is the only photo of the mom and baby that kinda turned out, or that she liked.
And I have tried a lot in photoshop, and have been unsuccessful.
I am not sure if this is the right spot to do this, but any advice on what to do?

Did you shoot in raw? This sort of backlit image is very annoying to fix. It will be less so if you start with raw.
