A shot from Las Vegas, where I grew up. For some reason, the FG makes me think of pancakes and syrup, or maybe it's just that I skipped breakfast this morning. :D Bon Appetit!

rolleyes1.gif I had to scroll down to see the part that resembles breakfast and was thinking you were out of your gourd. But you're totally not!

This is the last time I'll doubt you when you talk about food analogies in landscape shooting. Which we all know can actually be quite unavoidable when you're out in the wind and cold (or wind and heat) away from civilization, at odd hours.

Thanks for sharing, and I think pancakes are definitely on the menu soon...:hotcake (I still can't believe Dgrin has a smiley for this)

I agree with Dan. Great details in the rocks played off against the colors in the sky.

Nice one. A little further up the canyon than the egg I tried to capture last fall.

Thanks everyone for the kind replies. There isn't much I miss about Las Vegas, but Red Rock Canyon and Las Vegas' proximity to so many national parks are 2 of them.

Ha ha...that is funny. It's a beautiful picture but now that you mentioned the pancake I can't get my eyes off it and it turned into a funny picture! :D Still beautiful...but with humor.

As I scrolled down and the sky disappeared, a stack of pancakes emerged. You are a magician. :D

Seriously, great photo ... great composition!

Great capture Mahesh. Nice composition and detail, the "syrup" running into the pancake leads the eye into the image nicely.thumb.gif
