Pricing For Photo Slideshow of Canal System

Hi, There is a guy that works for the Local Canal Museum, Historical Place, with A huge Canal System.

He had me take 6 photos of the Mill for him. I geve them to him for free, but put my watermark on them.


He is now asking me to photograph the entire canal system, and put them into a slideshow for him. This is miles of the canal too, so I'm not doing this for Free.

How much would you charge for something like this?

Here is what I would do. Find out how many images he is looking for. What is the use of the images. Do they need to be taken at any particular time of day? IE: Direction of canal sun, etc. Will this require more than one day? Does he want music and creative transitions or just a dead nuts simple slide show?

Think about how long the photography will take, (then add 35% minimum.) :-)

Then think about how long the post processing will take. Then add more time to that. :-)

Now how much $$ would make you happy for all that time and processing.

That's a start.

Do more qualifying. How many images, use, timeframe, will the images be used in places other than the slideshow.

Price it hourly. It's a commercial job.

thats a good thought, thank you.. I do not usually edit my photos in photoshop, I usually dont have to.

They are strictly going to be for a slideshow as of right now.
