These are sharp like a bag of melted marshmallows. :thumb Some macros I've shot over the past few days (when it hasn't been pouring rain). Taken with Tamron 70-300 in macro mode, handheld...

Butterfly and ant sharing some clover.

Next, some weird lookin' green eyed bee...

Finally another butterfly...

    Aj
    Beautiful colors
    Great shots
How do you like that lens for carring around all day ?
Reason I ask is I just got back from two days of hiking with my bag of stuff and it wore me out.
I need one lens for hiking ...no more:D

    Thanks
    Fred

    Hey Fred,

It does offer allot of versatility, but at a price (or lack thereof). It doesn't bother me to carry around all day, but everyone's different. It's not hard to shoot with, but it's not exactly easy either. headscratch.gif For me, I'm treating it as a "training" lens, so I'll really appreciate faster glass, smaller sizes, image stabilization ect. later on when I upgrade...thumb.gif

    Thanks for looking Fred.

I like these alot. The colors really work well together. They look sharp enough to me. I know some macro shots really WOW you with sharpness, but I like these kind of shots also.

Hi ya AJ......look at the colour of those bees eyes eek7.gif how odd is that?? ne_nau.gif
I've never seen bees with such coloured eyes as the one you shot there, how cool was that capture :D well done.

I love that first shot too with the butterfly sharing the flower with an Ant :D
You'd have to be very pleased with this series you taken, nicely done.

    Hey Skippy,

I actually had no idea it had green eyes until I got home and saw it on the pc. I knew it was different looking, but not that different...

I know I made light of the sharpness with these but in all honesty yes I am pleased, you do what you can do, right? thumb.gif

    Thanks Skippy!

    Nice series AJ,
I like your first shot the best. It's busier than the others, but the color combos there really stand out and I like the comp.

    Good shots,
    Chris

I cannot think of a nicer compliment than that Zy, honestly. Whenever you can inspire someone else, it makes it all feel very worth it! That just made my week, thanks! thumb.gif
