    Sweet, sweet shot! I love dune shots, and this is just fantastic. Looks like Death Valley, perhaps Stove Pipe Wells?
    Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

    Superb Walter. Truly outstanding. clap.gifclap.gif The only thing that occurs to me that would make this even better, is to darken the sky a bit with a GND PP treatment so it is more in balance with the total image.

    I was suggesting he try a graduated neutral density treatment in post processing to balance the sky with the rest of the image. It is just a thought and a minor nit, and it may not improve the photo.

    Thank you everyone!

    As mentioned, this the Mesquite Dunes in DV. I shot it in 2005, and unfortunately, wasn't shooting in RAW then. I was a bit leery of messing with the sky too much--Things started getting strange, fast.
    Anybody can do it.
