Does anyone know what the largest CF card that a Canon G3 can use?
Thanks.

The Canon G3 is apparently FAT32 capable, so I don't think you are terribly limited for CF card size. I see multiple references to 4GB cards that are supposed to be compatible.

    Here is a Lexar reference:

Since 4GB cards are currently also economical, and you can store quite a few G3 files on one, and because 4GB fits nicely on a single-layer DVD recordable disk, a 4GB card would be my recommendation.

    Thanks for your reply.

A friend suggested why be adventurous and give my 16GB (from my 40D) a try in the G3, after I take everything off it and reformat it on my computer ... so I did.

I reformatted the card on my computer as FAT32 with 32K clusters. Put the 16BG CF card into the G3 and ... WOW ... it sees it. Great!

So at least we now know a Kingston ElitePro 16GB CF card works in the Canon G3.
