Those must be some seriously confused geese down there this time of year
We have some that stay year round. They know they have it good here. These sat right on the side of the road for me. They are used to cars going by as long as you don't get close or try to open a door. When they have their babies they are a bit more skittish, though I did get some last year of the young ones. I caught sight of them this year but the roads were flooded and I couldn't get to them.
I really like that first capture. The white snowy against the black water is striking. Have you tried to clone out the distracting vegetation in the lower left of the frame?
