Over the weekend we stopped by the local state park to watch the annual Civil War reenactment. These guys and gals are really serious about doing their best to transport you to the 1860's.

You may wanna add a touch of curves to them or at least adjust a black point to add some pop. deal.gif

Nice photos. I agree completely with the excellent suggestion that you pop the contrast a bit. I'd also convert them all to black and white or - and I virtually never say this mwink.gif - sepia. (It's totally appropriate given the subject matter.)

Yeah, I agree, for some reason this period (as WWII-styled ones) asks for it deal.gif

Absolutely!clap.gif And the Civil War ones particularly ask for it because many images from that era are sepia...

What I wanna try next time (our local event is in November) is to try to simulate the long exposure they used for posed portraits at the times. I mean, for realz. Put the a strong ND filter on and make them sit still for a few seconds. Hopefully it should help with the era-like expressions.

Find a kid who has trouble sitting still and you'll have it made...Laughing.gif.
