    thanks its getting better. I realized today that my Canon 50D and 580 flash are able to take macro flash pictures on "high speed" 1/1000 I thing I would try some bee pictures on that speed

    Funnily enough high speed flash is not that useful in macro. Just using the camera in manual with normal sync speed flash actually often gives you higher effective shutter speeds than using high speed sync flash. This is because normal flash durations are of the order of 1/1000th to 1/10000 th sec depending on the flash power used and with normal x-sync you get just one flash. With high speed sync flash the flash actually fires several times as the shutter window travels over the sensor so the total length of all the pulses can actually be longer than a single flash shot.
