I had the unexpected opportunity to drive 13 hours to the sea shore at cape Hatteras and hang out for a couple of days. Although the temperatures were in the 90's for the 4th week, there were a couple of days when the clouds puffed up and threatened to rain. Fortunately the rain held off until the 13 hour drive back to Louisville.
These two shots were taken with my D300 with a 14-24mm 2.8 lens
@ f22 1/8sec iso 250 any C&C is welcome enjoy. Kevin.

I was taking pictures of the building clouds off shore during the early evening, when my son who was harassing me finally got me turned around and got an even better photo.

Lovely shots! I really like the first one because of the diamond shape the grass makes. thumb.gif
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

Very nice shots.. I love the 1st one. Maybe a slight curves adj. to bring out a little more contrast and texture in the sand would make it even stronger.

I actually prefer the minimalism of the second! The lack of anything else really showcases the texture of those clouds. Really beautiful thumb.gif
