Help on Categories

Hi there,

I apologize if this is not the right forum to post this question - it seems to be.

Anyhow, I want to know if it is possible to do a sub-sub category.

So far, it seems the category system only extends two levels deep. Category, Sub-category, and Galleries.

Is there a way to do Category, Sub-category, sub-category, and galleries. I just swapped from hosting my own Gallery 2, and have really liked that feature there.

If this is not possible, could this be a suggestion for the future?

As you noted, it's not possible today. What I would suggest is creating more categories - don't just use the categories created by smugmug, create your own more specific categories. That would give you more entries at the top level, but maybe that can give you the structure you are after.

Thank you Denise for your quick and concise answer! It is very helpful to just find out you can't do it rather than look forever and search forever on the forums.

My problem with creating so many categories is that its so darn messy on my homepage. I only hope that I can edit things in a way where I can show only one category to one person with a link, and not have it show all the others. I forsee a HUGE mess otherwise.

Do you know of any keywords I can search for, or good places to start to do that type of thing?

I want my personal and business galleries to be separate. I was thinking of having Personal - Trips - New York - Brooklyn, Bronx, etc. Galleries. Then Business - Clients 2009 - Bride & Groom - Reception, Ceremony, etc. Galeries.

Do you know of anyway I can do this?
