Great Shot
It looks like a Tri Color Egret to me...He is in the shade so the colors don't jump out at you but I am sure it's a Tri Color....Good Shot...
No, it's not a Reddish Egret. The Redish Egret is a big bird, the size of a Great Blue Heron.
The bird here is a Tri-colored Heron. If the photo was taken at a slight different angle, you could see the white belly, and the distenctive neck pattern.

He was hard to get since he was back in the sticks in a very marshy area. When he flew off, there was too much in the way to shoot him.
