Millersburg's Fireworks from July 2nd

From the looks of what I ended up with, I think I need a better tripod, but some of them sorta look cool. The exposure times range from around 2 sec's to 4 or 5 sec's (if I remember correctly) at f4 on my 70-300 non-VR lens. These were taken 4 to 5 miles away, as it was impossible to get into town that night. The one thing that I was able to capture from this spot was how the color of the fireworks colored the smoke they created.

So here are a few of them. C&C is always welcomed (I've got thick skin)!

Nicely done, Gary! I love fireworks shots, so I hope people keep posting beauties like these! thumb.gif
Shoot in RAW because memory is cheap but memories are priceless.

Thanks for the reply! At least I now know that I need a better tri-pod. I might even try Live View next time as well. More of what I got can be seen here. http://brophoto.smugmug.com/gallery/8820966_SV7zw#584255987_fBU4y
