While waiting for church to start I drove over to Don Edwards Reserve near San Jose for some photos. I had a hard time tracking the birds flying around but it was fun. Didn't get too many keepers but really lucked out with the bird taking off from the creek.
Thanks,
Rob

That tern in flught shot is really fine. You even got the eye very clear which ain't easy to do.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
I also enjoyed that you included a shot of the environment, like seeing it, besides, cool low land.

The image of the bird taking off was 1 of a few taken while the bird was at rest near the creek shore. I didn't noticed I capture the take off until I got home and processed the RAW images.
Don Edwards is a very flat area and right next to the bay. Great place to take 10 minutes to get away from the busy life.

So is the place in Alviso, or is this the part of Don Edwards that's closer to Fremont? Either way good work
Steve
This is in Alviso, right off of North 1st street exit. This was the first time going here and was surprised with the amount of activity. I have been to the Fremont Don Edwards and was disapointed, even with 300mm still couldn't get close to the birds.
I still have yet to visit the Palo Alto marshlands, that's next on my list.

good job on the exp as well
neat birds, well I think all birds are neat
the ones around here make such a racket when you try to get close I guess they have to make up for their small size with something
