Please forgive the somewhat provocative title. :wink

    Great sense of humor! This definitely could be in Go Figure lol3.gif

    Nothing can look bad in morning mist. But the real topper is the gorgeous murky sun. Even with fog... what a great exposure! Did you need to use an ND filter for this?

    When I saw the title of this I thought you might have the wrong forum. :D

    This is an awesome image. The diffused light with the faint trace of the sun in the background is very pretty. Good work!

    Beautiful image, and the 'dark' sun certainly is a great focal point.

    Thanks, Schmoo! I've completely given up Grad ND filters. I can do everything with bracketed exposures these days. That's what I did here.

    Dan and Tom,

    Thank you kindly for your nice comments. It was an awesome morning. I was out in Sakgit Valley photographing some eagles when I came across this scene. Had to shoot it, being the compressed landscape lover that I am. :D

    That's a really nice shot, it looks almost sepia.

    I seem to remember what the title meant, I'll have to call my Alzheimer's rep to clarify... :D

    To be honest I wouldn't have looked if the title said "Root". Thanks for posting.

    Shots like this expand our mental parameters for images. I probably would walk by the very pleasing capture

    Mahesh;

    What settings do you use for your bracketing? How do you go about determining them on the fly, especially when the image may be short-lived like this one could have been.

    Thanks, Dale! I typically do 3 to 5 bracketed images, 0.7 exposure units apart. Usually 2 stops on either side of 0 does the trick.
