Port/Protocol for SmugMug Upload

Hello-

So I was traveling overseas this past week, Dubai/UAE, and I was not able to upload photos. I know that some sites are blocked in UAE. So I connected to my work VPN and was able to use that proxy to get connected. However I was unable to upload photos using the Simple Uploader under WinXP, IE7 or FF 3.0.11. The corporate proxy did not let it through. :scratch

So they said that they would unlock for me, however I did not know what protocol/port is being used that they need to unblock.

So can you provide that info.

Thanks.

Did you try the old faithful uploader? Behind my firewall at work, it's the only way that I can upload (smuggy and flickr).

A small update. It depends on how I connect, in the office without a proxy; no problem. VPN not so much. I have a ticket in to IT to get upload.smugmug.com into the proxy stuff if I can.

    Bradford,

You will need access to both api.smugmug.com and upload.smugmug.com over http/s.

    Cheers,
