bio box slides show pulled a disapearing act

In a small panic here. I tried to expand the bio box to let my slideshow stretch across the page... and the whole thing disappeared.
The end goal is a nice big slideshow that will stretch. I thought maybe I could use the new stretchy slideshow option with a straight featured gallery on the homepage, but all I got was a thumbnail for the featured gallery so no flow on that one.
So I tried to go back to the bio box... only it just initializes into nothing. help!
