So I was able to shoot a golf event about a week ago, and there's nothing more relaxing than being on the course all day with your camera! Man, that sure was nice!

Anyway, our Command Chief was retiring, and he held a base wide golf tournament. The turnout was great, and I'm still peeling from the shoot (I forgot sunscreen). Golf really is an odd sport to shoot, but I was happy with the overall turn out.

The entire series is on my website, and there's some more info about this in my blog if interested. Thanks for looking, and C&C is always welcomed!

I really like the shot of the shoes on your blog.
Some of the shots seem to be clipping the blacks and maybe over saturated, looks kinda like a vivid profile maybe.
    Great compositions.

Thanks for the feedback! The shot of the guy leaning on his club is who the event was thrown for actually. That's the walkway up to the first hole. It was pretty cool because he walked up there alone and stood there for a minute or two, like he was taking it all in that he's done with his career.

I was pretty happy with how the shoe shot turned out as well. I had to bracket that shot though, and that's the one that came out.

Thanks for the info about the clipping in the blacks, I will keep an eye on that better in PP.

Thanks again for looking & for the comments!

Not to be a drag, but perhaps could you straighten the horizon. Trying to balance both the bushes on the side of the stairs would be difficult, but that is what makes it a good capture. Then it would be a truly great image. clap.gif

Not a drag at all, great feedback! I'll tweak it and see how it turns out. Nice catch & thanks for the help.

Love #1 and #3, the colors in #3 are so alive! My only (minor) nick is that I would have liked to see a bit more on the left of the golfer.

Thanks for the reply Dustin! Funny you mention the colors because I was torn between the color or B&W version on #3. I'm happy I stuck with the color version. Great catch about the left of the photo. I'll go back to the file and see if I can salvage some space over there. Thanks for the info!
