Held in Longview, TX this weekend. http://www.greattexasballoonrace.com/

I had a great time, and will come back to it again. I took a whole bunch pictures and culled it down to these as my favorites. I wish that the "Balloon Glow" event lasted longer which would have allowed me more time to experiment with ISO, Aperture & Shutter Speed, as I am still not qualified enough to even reach n00b status yet. I pretty much shot everything at ISO 100 and was just getting the into the grove enough to start to play with the ISO so I could speed up the shutter, but by then it was over. Oh well there is always next year.

These are unedited but for minor cropping, C&C is welcomed.:help

Hi there Dixonduke, you did fine with these,
don't be afraid to experiement, it's a great way to learn.

Those Balloon Glow events don't seem to last long enough at all,
especially when your keen to shoot :D

Your Noobie stage as you put it, will pass very quickly.
The more you take photos, the more you learn,
and the more you frequent Forums like Dgrin, the more you will learn too.

I would encourage you to share more, you've done a really nice job of these.... my favourites are Images #2 + #3 clap.gif

    Thanks for sharing thumb.gif .... Skippy :D

Thank you both for the kind comments. I had a lot of fun taking the pictures. Looking forward to the next time they come to town.
