We have been on vacation in western Nebraska. There are many photo ops (but no mountains or waterfalls). This area is part of "Big Sky" country of the Great Plains.

This sundown followed the passage of a weather front. The thunderhead on the horizon is over 60 miles away

Big sky is correct, Dale! What fantastic, natural colors you were able to capture in the sky. Nice! thumb.gif

Gorgeous shot, Dale! I love the subdued, but crisp, colors and the cloud texture. I also looked at your wheat harvest gallery. You have some lovely shots there, and some excellent pieces of life in the Midwest. I really enjoyed that gallery.

I spent much of my childhood in eastern NE (Bellevue) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd love to go back and shoot some Nebraska scenes one day.

    Cheers,
    Lauren
