I can choose neither. They are both great. Me a fan of BW and of the way you've made the forest in the color photograph, eerie and mysterioius. Great work.
While the different shades of green are very eye catching in #1, I prefer #2 because of the full range of gray tones that are present - the light, the dark - they give a great feeling of depth to the shot, I think.

The B&W is pretty good as well, but I think the color one wins for me.
