Sun or candle?

This is a shot of the youngsters sunflower which has opened its petals up this last couple of days.

After (yet) another heavy downpour tonight, I decided to go all abstract on this one - I like the stark brightness of the powerful yellows and the way it conrasts with the heavier browns.

When seen up close though, they reminded me of candles or tree lights, hence the title for the thread and photo.

Used three extension tubes and the marumi flash gun, and, here is a little surprise, set the camera to shutter priority because I wanted to control the speed and let the camera think "creative"... But I knew the DoF would be near zero, cos my viewfinder told me, along with my know-how... :D
