Thanks, Danny! I only show the shots with the good clouds. For every shot with cool clouds, I have 10 with a bland sky.

I have two different ratios, with a camera, I get about 1/10 good ones like Mahesh, without a camera available, I'm actually 15/10 (don't ask how that's mathematically possible, but it is).
Agree with Danny - great colors in that sky.

I know the feeling, Ron! Thanks for the kind words and chuckle.

Love the colors in this shot!! The little bit of sky in the butte bugs me a little as does it being so central but it works at the same time.

Thanks! I thought about cloning the bit of sky from the butte out, but it's such a well recognized hole in the mitten, that I decided to leave it in. As far as the central composition, that was intentional...for me, it works best as is.

Thanks, Eia! I have 10+ weeks of vacation a year and I love to travel!

You wouldn't believe how jealous of you I am right now not just of the vacation, but also for your clouds to bland sky ratio!!!
Awesome shot as usual, Mahesh!

ok, (in humor) after a few choice words about you and semi regaining my temper I realized, ...thats cool....
btw, beautiful image, also I agree on not cloning the windows....
Thanks, Chris! Ya, I often don't mention how much vacation I get in front of polite company. Sorta feels like bragging.

Don't worry, brother...I take plenty, probably more than my share.
Thanks for the comment, bud.

Thanks, Aaron!
My wife only has 3 to 4 weeks off a year and I'm constantly hearing about how unfair it is. I politely nod and smile.

where do you work that you get 10 weeks off? do you need an assistant? i'm unemployed, and would love the opportunity!

Thanks, Rocky! I work at Seattle Children's Hospital and they are very good to their employees.
My wife already has the job as my assistant and my boss.

Thanks, Doug! It's amazing to see the monuments live. The pictures don't do them justice.

Thanks for the undeserved compliment, Joel. There are so many incredible photographers here (present company included), that I'm just trying to keep up!

Between your vacation time and Joel (kdog)'s pool, I think I have the wrong job
UPDATE: I take back what I said after hearing your wife is also your boss. It's bad enough having that be the case at home, but at work too? I don't think I could handle it!

Hey man...I paid my dues through med school and residency. Those times equated to basically no vacation
Yes, the boss everywhere, she is. The benefits can be nice, however.

hey I stayed at a "Holiday Inn" last night & I watched "Scrubs" on TV, so I can vouch for this story... You paid your dues
NOT.:D
now get out there and shoot somemore!...
next time you roll through Utah let me know eh.
You know I'm often confused for a character in Scrubs. That's why I carry the American Express card.
Sounds good...I'll definitely send a shout out to you when I head to Utah. Maybe we can do some shootin' together!
