Thanks, Danny! I only show the shots with the good clouds. For every shot with cool clouds, I have 10 with a bland sky. :D

I have two different ratios, with a camera, I get about 1/10 good ones like Mahesh, without a camera available, I'm actually 15/10 (don't ask how that's mathematically possible, but it is).

Agree with Danny - great colors in that sky.

I have Ron beat when I do not have a camera deal.gif

Love the colors in this shot!! The little bit of sky in the butte bugs me a little as does it being so central but it works at the same time. headscratch.gifne_nau.gifthumb.gif:D

Thanks! I thought about cloning the bit of sky from the butte out, but it's such a well recognized hole in the mitten, that I decided to leave it in. As far as the central composition, that was intentional...for me, it works best as is. :D

You wouldn't believe how jealous of you I am right now not just of the vacation, but also for your clouds to bland sky ratio!!!

    Awesome shot as usual, Mahesh!

lovely shot of West Mitten... those clouds turn what would otherwise be a rather bland silhouette into a very dramatic shot... i managed a handful of shots with some clouds when i was there, but by sundown they'd all burned off... :(

where do you work that you get 10 weeks off? do you need an assistant? i'm unemployed, and would love the opportunity! ;)

Between your vacation time and Joel (kdog)'s pool, I think I have the wrong job :D

UPDATE: I take back what I said after hearing your wife is also your boss. It's bad enough having that be the case at home, but at work too? I don't think I could handle it!

Hey man...I paid my dues through med school and residency. Those times equated to basically no vacation :D

Yes, the boss everywhere, she is. The benefits can be nice, however. :D
