Canon 50D, 100x400mm 5.6

    Gorgeous, but I would have stopped down to about F8 or F9 and dialed back the exposure value about a 1/2 step or so to control the whites. Fine example though of the breeding plumage.

    15524779-Ti.gif with Stephen's assessment on this one...white birds can be very tough to meter properly. If possible...the whole bird in the shadow or in the light would be something to look for.:D

    I want to thank both of the comments by Maestro and Ric---I looked at several posts from you guys and your pics are awesome. I count it an honor for you to comment on my capture--I will take note--you are right--white birds are really tough to photograph---thanks again.
