I'm too lazy to do any PP, but I thought you guys might like to see the way they do wedding shoots in China. Not shown, the full sized tour bus loaded up with brides and grooms in full dress on the way to the next photo location. :rofl

I've seen these sort of productions in Shanghai and Beijing often enough too. In fact, there are lots of people running around with some very nice kit!

No doubt. This was a rather large park (obvious destinations) so there were brides and photogs scattered all over the place. And grooms too.

Another crazy observation: The grass is rather pitiful and worn out. I mean I could totally see this working if the location was drop dead gorgeous.... but they are practically sitting on dirt with a few sprigs of grass here and there!

    Interesting!

Yes, the brides are all wearing street clothing under the dresses. In China, a lot of times the brides pay for "changes" so there are lots of costumes to choose from, ranging from traditional chinese, to traditional western, to the truly bizzare, such as those ranging from 18th century France. Go figure. I'm guessing these wedding dresses are all "rented" for the shoot, and belong to the photographic studios.

Judging by all of the wedding photography booths set up in town, in the malls and shopping centers, and in the wedding streets themselves, this must be a huge business.

Yes, the wedding streets. Unlike the USA, where if you want some electronic device, you just go to a radio shack, which is probalby located right near your house as well as 55 other locations in your town, in Guangzhou, they would generally have all of the shops selling a certain thing in one area. You wanted A/C parts, go down to the A/C district, where 20 shops on a street sell the exact same thing. You want office supplies at whole sale rates, well there's a street for that too.

The best part of town for me was the photo district. Pretty much every thing you've ever heard about, and more was down in one area. Used, new, they had it all.
