The Slowest of Predators?

Well, hardly a predator really...

But certainly about the slowest hunter in my garden. They hunt down my plants relentlessly. Funny though, they get everywhere. Not just on the floor, but I have them coming down the brickwork on the garden shed (out-house, whatever we call it) and on the window of the back door once or twice (remember that one?) and hell fire, even found their tell tale signs indoors on odd occasions.

This one had somehow found its way onto the garden bench (which is against the wall of the shed/out-house) and had a broken bit of shell too, so I wondered if it had maybe been on the brickwork and fell down, landed on the bench and carried on from there.

As far as I know, the shells don't have nerve endings so I figure a broken shell wouldn't hurt them anyway.

Still, I digress a little. Back to the title, "The Slowest Predator?" so called cos it seemed to be rearing up as if to strike down on prey...
