Backprinting question

If my gallery has backprinting set to blank but I have a default backprinting text setup in the control panel, does the default (control panel) text kick in if i don't explicitly put something in individual gallery backprinting text?

What "default backprinting text setup in the control panel" are you referring to? I've never seen any such setting.

it's in the pro tab. there is a backprinting setting. there also happens to be one in each indiv gallery. so i'm just wondering which one takes precedence.

CP is for your whole site. Gallery settings, if changed, trump what you have in the control panel.
