I am going to take photos for a summer camp. They are being made into slideshows.

The camp says some parents dont want photos of their kids,

How do I write up a contract for this???

The photos are only for my site, for my portfolio, and for a slideshow for the camp.

any help or ideas would be appreciated, Thanks

Does this mean that you have no monetary interest in the project?headscratch.gif

They don't want photos of their kids or they don't want photos of their kids taken?

If the answer is #2, explain that unless parents dress their kids in a big red t-shirt with "DON'T TAKE MY PHOTO" printed on it, then this would be impossible for you to manage. Let them know that this is for the camp and only for the camp. DO NOT post images on the web unless you have specific written permission to do so.

If these photos and/or slideshow is for the camp and the camp is intending to use these images in any sort of advertisement, they are going to be serverly hampered (to the point where the images are next to useless) unless they have some sort of release from the parents of all the identifiable children in the images. They may already have that in the contract signed by the parents when they enrolled their children in the camp.

Many organizations/companies/publishers require the photographer supply such releases with the photos. So, were I you, I would take a look at the contract signed by the parents - looking for a release statement. If such a release statement is not there ... well, this is something that I think you would want to talk over with the camp management.
