Hey guys...I'm leaving in a week or so for a road trip to California(I am from North Carolina!!) :) I'm going with my girlfriend to Redwood NP, Yosemite NP, and Sequoia KC NP, and any other places that fit our fancy. I am curious if anyone on here has been to Yosemite during the summer and found enough time and place to escape the crowds and get some good shots. I am doing an 3 day backpack near Hetch Hetchy but we're gonna do the touristy Yosemite Valley stuff as well. Does anyone have any advice to share that may help me capture some good shots while at the same time avoiding the hordes of people in the valley?? Thanks ahead for any advice you can give.

P.S. I'm also in the market for a good Grad ND filter. Is one company superior to another and is the most versatile filter the 4x?

    #1 - go on a weekday

#2 - Get to the valley as early as you possibly can.
