Getting acquanted with my new beast.... the 500VR

Took delivery of my new 500VR this morning, what a beauty she is and can't believe how sharp it is even with the 1.7 TC, with very little loss in image quality. :D
I'm looking forward to using it in combo with the D3 when my wife and I are off to Botswana in 6 weeks staying 24 nights.
I've had to let go of my 200-400VR to fund this expensive exotic glass and will really miss it. Just can't justify 2 exotics.

    I can't see the lens? All I see is floating cmaera body..is it camouflaged or something?rolleyes1.gif

    500VR on left, being slightly fatter & longer. 600gm's weight difference.
