Looks good Nicholas thumb.gifthumb I really like some of the jump shots, like #7 and #21. Some of the others are also nice, but I'm wondering why you decided to get so wide and short with the crops? The pole and cars in the background are kind of distracting, in some of the shots, but you did the best you could from your vantage point and using a camera with limited range and a deep DOF ne_nau.gif

Anyhow, good work and you came home with some really nice shots clap.gif

Thank you Steve, glad you liked my images.

My purpose was to record the event as it unfolded. Also to provide the viewer a true feeling of the event. If all the shots were close-ups, without the background for reference, it would be hard to realize just how high and far theses guys & gals actually go.

It was alot of fun and very satisfying when I got to see the images on my monitor.

Not bad, but watch your backgrounds. What were you shooting at?

The action looks good (albeit a little far away) but what I find distracting is the trees and lamposts so maybe try shooting at an aperture to maybe isolate the subject (if you can get closer)...

I just read your comments, and you can still give the impression of height with some low shooting too, or possibly a wide angle. But losing the crispness of background will make a huge difference....
